Features & Benefits
Axiostat induces faster hemostasis than natural blood clotting cascade due to electrostatic interaction between positively charged biopolymer of Axiostat and the negatively charged blood cells. Through its positive charge, the biopolymer attracts clotting factors, red blood cells (RBC) and platelets and entraps them into its porous structure, which leads to the activation of the platelets and results in formation of a strong blood clot.
Quick Hemostasis
Plasma sorption, rapid platelet aggregation, activation of related pathways leading to significantly fast clot formation
Adaptive to Multiple Sheath Sizes
Axiostat stops bleeding during withdrawal of sheath during arterial and venous vascular procedures
Acts as a Barrier to Bacteria
Axiostat provides a barrier to bacterial penetration, thereby reducing the chance of infection
Protonated Bioadhesive Technology (PBT™)
1 = Positively charged Axiostat
2 = Negatively charged blood cells in motion
3 = Axiostat reacts with blood cells & creates a robust seal
