Feature & Benefits

EmboGold Microspheres are colored to enhance visualization during handling, while still offering the controlled, targeted embolization characteristics of Merit Medical’s first microsphere product, Embosphere® Microspheres. EmboGold Microspheres are biocompatible, hydrophilic, non-resorbable, precisely calibrated microspheres, and are indicated for the embolization of hypervascularized tumors and arteriovenous malformations.

Predictable, Reliable Delivery

EmboGold Microspheres temporarily compress for smooth microcatheter passage. Once through the microcatheter, they return to their original spherical shape and stated diameter for predictable, reliable delivery.

Non-Aggregating Properties

The hydrophilic surface and spherical shape of EmboGold Microspheres prevent aggregation in the catheter lumen and vasculature, promoting ease of use and accuracy of delivery.

Durable Occlusion

EmboGold Microspheres are biocompatible and nonresorbable with cell adhesion properties that enable complete and durable mechanical occlusion.

Enhanced Visibility

EmboGold Microspheres are colored to offer better visibility during handling for enhanced safety. Spheres are also pregnated with 2% elemental gold.

Specific Size Ranges

EmboGold Microspheres are available in six specific size ranges to achieve predictable and efficient vessel occlusion.

Precisely Calibrated

Consistent cross-sectional diameter allows for more accurate sizing to the target vessel and highly targeted delivery.

Compressible

Elastic properties allow temporary deformation, facilitating smooth passage through microcatheters

Backed by Research

Consistent and durable clinical results with over 10 years of clinical experience
